Pimax Dream Air VR Headset Launched

December 25 news. Manufacturer Pimax launched a VR headset named Dream Air yesterday. The biggest features are eye tracking support, HDR, and automatic adjustment of the head strap. Currently, this headset has been put on pre-sale on the Pimax official website. The pre-order price is 9699 yuan (subsequent payments are required, with a total price of 14645 yuan). It will start shipping in May 2025 (next year).

It is learned that the overall weight of this headset is ‘less than 200 grams’. It is equipped with a 3840×3352 resolution 90Hz Micro OLED panel for each eye (supporting HDR). The field of view (FOV) is 102 degrees. It supports automatic adjustment of interpupillary distance. At the same time, it supports eye tracking and can automatically adjust the head strap, somewhat similar to the Nike Adapt BB sneakers back then.

The official also claims that this Dream Air headset will support the optional purchase of a computing unit with a built-in Snapdragon XR2 in the future to make the headset an independent VR all-in-one. At present, this headset is mainly used as a PC VR.
